Google's Fiber TV launches 3D ESPN channel

LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - Sports fans who want to put themselves deeper into the game - and who own 3D glasses and a 3D-capable television - might want to check out Google's Fiber TV.

Fiber has launched two new 3D channels, including ESPN3D, which will deliver sports programming in three dimensions to customers.

Google is also offering a second 3D channel to customers who subscribe to Fiber's Gigabit + TV Plan. That channel, 3net, features "an extensive library of original 3D programming, including natural history, documentary, action/adventure, kids and family, lifestyle and cuisine, concerts, movies, scripted series," Google said on its blog Thursday.

3net is available on Fiber channel 338, while customers can sign up for ESPN3D - for an extra $5 a month. But isn't that a small price to feel like your favorite athlete is sweating right on you?
