There are hundreds of ways to generate traffic to a website. Search engines, forums, social media, Web 2.0, directories, Pay per Click, banners, etc. There are other ways to traffic drive over there that I care to learn (and I am one of those they call ?experts?). However any strategy you are currently using to drive your website traffic, one thing is certain; you understand the importance of traffic. Even more important for business owners who depend on much of their presence online and their lead generation online, traffic is essential to the success of their goals online.
However, I believe that traffic had taken too much of a central role in the way that most of the companies, to implement their strategy online. He became the principal and only the focus of most of the webmasters and advisors online, when they measure and analyze the success of their online campaigns.
Whenever someone asks me how more visitors on their site, get my initial response a bit sounds like this: ?why would I want to go on your Web site? What you offer your visitors? How to use your current site traffic? ?
Almost every time, the answers to these questions will tell me exactly what I need to know. Responses tell me usually if they properly use their traffic, if they are ready for more traffic, or whether they should be focusing on increasing their traffic to all the. And don?t you wrong, always try to get more traffic, but until resolve you what I am about to tell you, it should not be your main objective.
Many, if not most webmasters and consultants online believe that traffic equals money. and, while it is true the traffic needed to make profitable a company Web site, it is not the quantity, it?s quality. It?s targeted way the traffic is and how the message of the website meets the needs of visitors.
You can substantially increase profits and sales leads generated by your Web site without any change in the circulation.
This can be accomplished by optimizing your website for conversions. What are the changes?
Conversions (aka the conversion rate) is measured take the ratio or percentage of visitors who have a claim on the total amount of visitors. What do mean by ?desired action?? Sales of products, membership registration, subscriptions to newsletter, lead generation or any other activity, in addition to the simple navigation page are some examples of what a desired action might be.
No matter if the purpose of your website is to make a sale or capture a lead the percentage of visitors who take than intended action is your conversion rate. With a focus on the increase of traffic to a Web site that does not convert will do nothing good for the company.
But by increasing conversions on a site and by optimizing the process of these visitors go through once they get, there is an immediate improvement of the effectiveness of this site and a possible increase in profits.
