LIMA, Ohio--Speaking to reporters here on Friday after a full day of passionate campaign speeches from President Barack Obama, senior adviser David Axelrod said that Obama's enthusiasm "is coming from his loins.
"I've never seen him more exhilarated than he is right now. He believes in what he's doing. He believes in what he's fighting for. You can see in the speech that he's delivering that this is coming from his loins. I just wanted to say loins," Axelrod added with a smile. "I wanted to see if I can get loins in the story."
The adviser also noted that he thinks "the thing that's most difficult about the presidency is by definition you do get a little bit confined, and you can't get out as much as you'd like, and the interaction with people that he's having and the ability to get out among people is a great reminder to him of what he's fighting for. And when he looks out at those crowds he sees the people who he's fighting for, and it's a very energizing thing."
Obama spent the entire day touring Ohio, delivering speeches in Hilliard, Springfield and Lima.
